Lights, Camera, Action! Mr. Caribbean is on and you can be sure that once the lights are switched on and the cameras zoom in, there will be non-stop action at the Arawak House of Culture on Friday, February 21st, 2014.
The contestants in the first-ever show of its kind are Omari Gumbs (Anguilla), Ronnie Morris (Barbados), Yannick James (Dominica), OrvinFebuary (Guyana), Kadeen Tyson (Nevis), Sergie Williams (St. Lucia), Godwin Charles (St. Vincent & the Grenadines) and Kevin Basden (The Bahamas).
Producer of the Show, Marie-Antoinette Mora, said it’s all about the guys and their passion for fashion, and entertainment. “There is a plethora of shows surrounding the female populace and the interest that was generated around Mr. Dominica and now the Mr. Caribbean competition proves that people are yearning for something different. The contestants will be putting on a show like no other and we’re inviting everyone to attend to support them as they participate in talent, costume, swimwear, formal wear and interview segments.”
Yannick is eager to welcome his fellow delegates to Dominica and to represent his country. “I want to showcase my talent and to show young men that they need not be afraid of taking part in such competitions. Young men need to step up their game and help to build a better society and that includes contributing to the development of national events such as Carnival and to the various sectors like culture and tourism; the Mr. Caribbean show is doing just that. On February 21st, it will be our time and I’m inviting everyone to come out and support me and my fellow-contestants.”
