DDA Sponsors Windward Islands Cricket

The Discover Dominica Authority, for the very first time, will be the official sponsor of the Windward island Cricket Team for the 2013 Caribbean T20 Tournament. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Palm Haven Hotel in St. Lucia earlier this week.

Manager of the Windward Islands Cricket Team, Lockhart Sebastien thanked Discover Dominica Authority for sponsorship of the team which had enabled the squad to prepare for the matches.

Team’s Captain Darren Sammy urged the Authority to continue sponsorship of the team and gave the assurance that the team would play to become the champions of the 2013 edition of the Caribbean T20 tournament.

Meanwhile, as part of its promotion in St. Lucia, the Authority organized a radio contest with The Wave radio where listeners could win a trip to Dominica on L’Express des Iles. Meetings were also held with travel agents, and radio and television advertisements were aired in St. Lucia for the duration of the tournament.
