Dr. Violet Cuffy, a Dominican national, has been honoured with a tourism award by the Council for Hospitality Management Education at the CHME 2014 conference. The conference was held at the University of Derby, United Kingdom, from May 28th-30th 2014.
Dr Cuffy’s conference paper ‘Collaborative Planning for Lifelong Tourism Education & Training’, won best themed paper under the conference track ‘teaching, learning and assessment’. The paper was based on a case study of the Commonwealth of Dominica conducted while reading for her doctorate at the University of Surrey.
Dr. Cuffy, currently a lecturer at Queen Margaret University, Edinburg Scotland, is due to publish ‘Lifelong Learning for Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training’ and the ‘Breakthrough Tourism Business Secrets™’ book series. The latter is based on the signature 4-step approach she has developed for achieving business growth, profitability and transformation.
