Barbadian hip-hop artiste Matt Cruz, of LoopHerb, has sought to extend his impact in the Caribbean with a promotional visit to Dominica from December 14 through December 21, the highlight of which will be a headline performance at the Anchorage Hotel from 7pm this Friday.
Cruz, who is being hosted by the Anchorage Hotel& Dive Center and HiiiLife Entertainment, has come to Dominica after successfully completing his 12-in-12 project in Barbados, during which he released 12 songs with music videos, one in each month of 2013.
He intends to promote the project’s finale, titled “Can’t Ignore” through radio stations on island, while beginning collaborations with local artistes for releases in 2014.
Cruz has already collaborated with at least one Dominican artiste, Anderson Angol, when the two connected in Barbados in June of this year. At that time, they composed, recorded and performed Angol’s “All Around the World” for a music video, shot by 365Media Marketing &Productions (365MMP). “All Around the World” is also featured on Angol’s recently released mixtape The Restart.
During this visit, additional footage for the music video will also be shot, in anticipation of a Christmas Day release via Youtube, Facebook and other social media websites and subsequently television media outlets.
They have again begun working together on Cruz’s “Think About Me”, only this time they are joined by Jordan “Kayyo” George and Kharlen Jervier, making feature appearances.
While in Dominica, Cruz has plans to complete shooting for another video “I Know, You Know”, featuring Kharlen Jervier.
The Barbadian artiste promises another body of work for 2014. His 12-in12 project and other works can be viewed on his:
